Camellia ‘Nuccio’s Pearl’ (Camellia japonica)

One of the most exquisite Camellias is just now starting to present its loveliness to the world. Very large (3 inch diameter) fully double blooms are abalone pink at the outer edges transitioning to pearl white toward the center. This one really draws you in. The closer you look, the more mesmerizing the flowers become. Viewed straight on, the arrangement of petals looks like a meditative mandala.

Blooms in late winter to early spring. Dense, evergreen, glossy, deep green foliage. It is a great plant to soften the harsh angles at the front corner of a house. Can get 8 or 9 feet tall. Some shade & a little sun makes it happy. It makes us happy. It’ll make you happy too.
